In 1960 Shoei helmets produced the first helmet to meet Japanese Industrial standards.

In 1965 Honda motors Co. adopted Shoei helmets as their genuine helmet brand.

The ventilation has intake vents to bring in cold air and exhaust vents to extract hot air. In the top of the line helmets they have 'Aero Vortex Ventilations'.

This V-shaped exhaust vent creates
a negative pressure ensuring warm air is expelled from the helmet.

Interior padding
A lot of time has been spent to ensure the padding in Shoei helmets is comfortable at speed and for long journeys. At the base of the helmet there are no over lapping parts to prevent wind noise and turbulence.

CX-1 Shield Visor
The Shoei CX-1 shield is not attached to the helmet via screws but instead is held in place by a spring loaded ratchet. This means that removal of the shield is quick and easy and also reduces wind noise as there are no side pods.

Other Features
Shoei motorcycle helmet company also offer a wide range of accessories to reduce wind noise and improve rider comfort. There are also 8 different visors in various tints.
