Caberg V2 Review

The Caberg V2 Helmet

Read/Leave Review

The V2R is the replacement for the very good V2. With improvements to the venting and general construction of the helmet Caberg really have done a good job with the V2R.

Caberg V2R ZondaThe Caberg V2R is a good all round Helmet. Included is Caberg's internal sun visor.

There really aren't many helmets in this price range that can match the Caberg for value for money and usability.

It has not been out long so it's a bit early to get feedback from riders, but they seem to like the V2 and have no major complaints.

A few people have problems with fit of the helmet, mainly with the sun visor and glasses making it awkward and uncomfortable - So it's best to try before you buy.

Safety

Many people worry about the lack of padding in the forehead due to the sun visor being there. As far as tests show, so far this has no effect on the safety of the helmet.

It is ECE-2205 approved. This helmet also got 5 out of 5 stars in the Sharp Helmet Safety scheme.

Overall opinion

I really like the V2R. With prices between £100-£130 it is one of the first helmets I recommend to people on a limited budget. It's stylish and practical day to day.

Personally I prefer the "Zonda" style. This has a cracking paint job and is a brilliant helmet which will last, as an added bonus it's also one of the safest helmets in this price range!
