Caberg Trip Review

The Caberg Trip Helmet

Read/Leave Review

Caberg Justissimo GT Helmet
This an entry level flip front (modular) helmet. It is very similar to the Caberg Justissimo just with lower specifications. Unlike the Justissimo you are not able to fit the Caberg just speak wireless system. Unlike the Justissimo GT you cannot convert this into an Open Face helmet.

The Trip visor

Included inside the helmet is an internal sun visor which is operated from a lever on the top of the helmet which can be operated with either hand. Many riders have stated they would never go back to a helmet that didn't have this, it is a major plus point making the Caberg Trip great for riders who do high mileage and want ease of use.

With the Double visor system Caberg claim that misting is not a problem, but although there appears to be many vents on the chin bar some owners say that this helmet mists up easily and also complain of poor ventilation to the face area.

Also available is the Trip "Lite" which is the same helmet but available in smaller sizes for women and children.

Overall opinion

The Trip offers a good helmet for the price. From around £90-£100 it is money well spent. It got 5 out of 5 stars in the Sharp Safety Test - in 90% of impacts the flip front remained locked.

If you don't mind not having wireless communication or being able to convert the Trip into an Open Face helmet then it is a good choice. Just keep in mind that spending a bit of extra cash will get you the Caberg Justissimo GT.

Sharp rating 4 out of 5 stars

Available in sizes XS to XL

Trip Lite available in XXXS to S
