Autocom Communication Systems Guide

Want to buy an Autocom Motorcycle communication system but don't know which system to buy? Follow this guide!

Autocom manufacturer communication systems aimed specifically at Motorcycle riders who need a reliable kit that won't let them down. The system was first designed in 1989 and is a market leader in Motorcycle communication and known as the Professionals Choice.

Each system has been designed to be expandable to fit each individual riders requirements.

First you buy the 'hub' you need and then any accessories to complete your system. For example if you want to connect your Sat Nav via Bluetooth, you need to buy the Bluetooth Adapter.

Autocom kits and accessories can be bought from Sportsbikeshop in the UK.

Autocom Logic SystemThe basic system starts with the L-1 Logic.

This box acts as a hub for the system. You can connect headsets and other devices (Sat Nav, Radios, Bluetooth Adapter) to this hub.

Anyone wearing a headset that is connected to this box will be able to communicate and hear any other devices that are also connected. The L-1 Logic box is the lowest priced out of all of the systems. It is battery powered but can be bike powered using the bike power leads.

There are a wide range of accessories that connect to the basic system, including phone and audio leads.

Autocom Starter Kits

These kits don't come with Bike to Bike radios but these are available as separate items. To make the most of the system it is best to buy a good quality radio like the Kenwood TK3301 T2.

What is an AUX input?

Aux InputAUX is short for Auxilliary. It is a standard audio input jack that lets you plug in other devices so that you can use them with the system. Aux is used on a wide range of equipment including Speaker systems and Radios.

It looks just like the headphone jack on an iPod or CD player (some cars have anStandard Aux Lead Connector Aux input on the front of the Stereo).

This means that an MP3 player can be plugged in using it's Headphone Jack and a 3.5mm Audio Lead (pictured above).

Kit L-1 Logic - Wired Headset System

Autocom L-1 Logic SystemA portable rider's system with a noise cancelling stereo headset, phone connector and stereo connector. This system has 6 AUX connections.

You can connect Bike to Bike radios, Sat Nav, phone and MP3 all at the same time.

Autocom also make bike fitting kits to make it very easy to fit the system to your bike.

Kit L-IW Logic Independence Wireless Headset System

L-IW Logic Indepedence Wireless Headset SystemThis is another portable kit that has 2 wireless headsets, one each for the rider and passenger. You can connect 5 devices to each wireless hub (phone, sat nav, music etc.) This means that you can listen to different music to your passenger if you want to!

This communication system is great if you want to be wire free.

As with the L-1 kit you can connect Bike-to Bike radios.

Kit SP-A Super Pro Automatic System
