The AGV Motorcycle Helmet Range

AGV have a wide range of helmets, they make helmets designed to be used for Race, Road, Street, Off Road and City.

AGV Motorcycles History

AGV Motorcycle Helmet LogoAGV helmets was started in 1946. Originally a leather seat and bicycle saddle manufacturer, the company became AGV Helmets in 1947.

Most famously known as the maker of MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi's helmet, AGV is a very popular brand among sports bike riders.

Based in Alessandria, Italy, AGV Motorcycle Helmets provides helmets to both Europe and the USA.

AGV Helmet Common Features

Quick Release Visor SystemAGV Helmet Visor System
AGV helmets use a system called XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) for their visors. This system makes it very quick and easy to change an AGV helmet visor.

Visor Ratchet System
Although each AGV visor has an anti-fog system, in certain weather conditions an AGV helmet may still mist up. The ratchet system holds the visor open at various angles so that the helmet visor can be almost closed, while still letting enough air in to clear the fog.

AGV Motorcycle Helmet VentVentilation
Each AGV helmet has a front air intake system (usually front mouth vent and 2 head vents) and an air extraction system (normally 2 vents on the top rear of the AGV helmet).

Comfort Padding
The inside padding of AGV helmets are made for comfort andAGV Motorcycle Helmet Padding hygienically treated to help keep each helmet clean inside.

High Quality Shell Materials
AGV helmets are made from Fibreglass or thermoplastic resin. Both of these materials are very strong, but help to absorb impact. They are also quite light so you'll never feel like you are wearing a ton of bricks around your neck!

Other Features
When buying an AGV helmet you can expect to find an anti-scratch, anti-fog visor. A double D adjustment strap and removable, washable padding. You'll also find front and rear air intakes/extractors.

K3 Helmet Reviews

The K3 is one of the most widely available AGV motorcycle helmet models.

Available in sizes XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL, this motorbike helmet model is very affordable and a very nice beginner to pro helmet. The AGV K3 has over 10 different finishes - if you choose this model you're spoilt for choice!

K Series Helmet Owners Guide

The AGV K series helmets have a lot of features and offer really good value for money.

Some wearers have complained that at higher speeds the wind noise is very loud, so ear plugs are definitely a must.

If you ride a sportsbike you might find that the helmet makes your head move around a lot. This is because the air bouncing off of the screen into your helmet doesn't get handled very well by the AGV K series. If you ride your Sportsbike very regularly you might prefer the AGV Stealth helmet.

K3 Helmet Replacement Parts

If you drop or have a crash in your AGV K3 helmet, you will need to buy a new one. Never keep on using the helmet after this as it won't offer any protection if you have another crash.

The only parts on an AGV helmet that are replaceable if they wear out are the visor and visor mechanism. Spare visors don't cost very much compared to the price of the K3 helmet.

These are available from your local AGV motorcycle helmet dealer.

2. AGV Stealth HelmetAGV Full Face Helmets AGV Sports Helmet AGV Street Helmets AGV Racing Helmet
Known for it's comfort, the AGV Stealth is fairly light with a wide visor to help with visibility. The Stealth has 2 shell sizes and is available to fit sizes XXS/XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL. The dual shell size means that the Stealth motorbike helmet is one of a few helmets that is made for size XXS.

The Stealth motorcycle helmet by AGV has large air vents on top which makes this motorcycle helmet great for hot summers days.

The air circulates around the top of your head more easily than in some other helmet models.

3. AGV S-4 Motorcycle HelmetAGV S4 Helmet AGV Full Face Helmets AGV Sports Helmet AGV Street Helmets AGV Racing Helmet

The AGV S4 has a similar design to the AVG Stealth helmet. Both of these AVG helmets are part of the AGV GT range. While the Stealth has large air intakes on the top, the AVG S-4 has just standard vents.

Smaller vents help to keep the S4 AGV motorcycle helmet quieter as when wind passes over the large intakes on the Stealth it can create quite a lot of noise.

The S4 by AVG has a large visor that uses the XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) to make it very fast and simple to change visors.
