AGV Dragon Helmet Review
The
AGV Dragon Helmet
This
motorcycle helmet is designed more for moped and cruiser riding (slower
speeds than full face helmets). It is an open face helmet that has a large
visor that covers the top part of your face.
If you're going to use this on the highway, I would definitely recommend
getting some goggles to go with this helmet.

You get 2 visors in the package, one is clear and the other is tinted. This
is great except you have to remove one to fit the other and it takes a bit
of time to change the visors over.
Riders with larger heads might not like the
AGV Dragon as it may look like
you are wearing a beach ball! A flip front helmet might be more suitable.
The design is based on a helicopter pilot/fighter pilot helmet (seen Top
Gun? You now what I mean!). It's available in various
graphic finishes but I think the army graphics are the best!
Personally I
think the AGV Dragon is a good helmet around town but for anything over 40
mph you will probably want a motorcycle helmet with more parts that cover
your face.

Safety Ratings
UK Government SHARP Rating - Currently only tested for US
use.
United States Department Of Transport (DOT) - Approved
Visor
Because this helmet is an Open Face, you won't get any fogging problems.
Goggles are needed for the motorway.
Comfort
Fairly comfortable, but could do with some extra padding.
Around Town
This i
s the perfect motorcycle helmet for city riding.
You can see all around very quickly and if you're making quick stop offs all
the time you don't need to keep removing the helmet. When you do want to
take it off, the quick release strap is quick and simple to use.
High Speed
Don't bother, anything over 60 mph and you won't be able to keep your head
still! Ear plugs are a definite must.
Ventilation
No ventilation but it's an open face, so there's not as much need for it.
Although on hot days you may find the lack of ventilation makes the top of
your head sweat a bit.
Straps/Fastening
Quick release buckle. Very easy to use, takes seconds to get the helmet on
and off.
